A couple weeks ago I made up some simple notes to thank Grandma and Grandpa for the Clark, Alex, and Ella's Valentine presents. I just ran a piece of Real Red cardstock through the Big Shot using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit and it was instant wow (to me at least)!

The boys and I worked on their Valentine's this afternoon. I put on their smocks and we hauled out some of my paint (and an old toothbrush) along with their finger paints.
I made stencils on some chipboard using an "X" and "O" cookie cutter and then we brushed paint on their cards.
I then took dictation after they dried so Daddy can have a special message from both of them. :)
Tomorrow is the big day so hopefully I'll have some fabulous pictures to post soon!
Do you ever get stumped on what to get your hubby for Valentine's Day? He doesn't ever seem to "want" anything except ultra-expensive stuff. :) So...a friend of mine told me about a candy bar bouquet and we shopped for supplies yesterday. His favorite chocolate is dark chocolate so we tried to tailor his bouquet to just that. I think it turned out pretty cute.
And here is the shot of the back...I painted the popscicle sticks so they would blend in with the shreds and then used hot glue to adhere everything (and floral foam in the base of the container).

The boys and I assembled their Love Bots today. These are super cute and very easy! I had Clark sign his name over and over again and then I printed little return address labels with names that we'll stick on as we give them out. I figured that was easier than digging through the stash to find the right Valentine. :)

I had to share a few sweet pictures of the boys from dinner tonight. We had "crash" potatoes (thanks, McKenzi for the recipe!), steamed asparagus, homemade bread, and garlic basil salmon. We had chocolate cake (Duncan Hines dark chocolate fudge with dark chocolate fudge icing) for dessert. That was a good motivator to get the boys to eat! :)

I can't believe it took me all day to share this project with you! It was a busy, busy day with the boys. I have a feeling every day until after my SIL gets married will be that way. :) Tomorrow is haircuts and more ribbon on her programs. I finished 50 tonight thanks to DH who cut ribbon for me (shhh...).

I saw this AWESOME idea on Nichole Heady's website for using one of Lauren Meader's "my timeless templates." I purchased the Take Along Tote and followed NIchole's directions. I made a few modifications to allow my base to be wide enough for the cupcake paper cups.
Here's a picture while I was working on one for my brother (in Chocolate Chip, of course!).
Finished product up-close (for the girls). The pocket holds my sons' Valentines and a card (that I haven't made yet!) for the recipient.

I made these chocolate lollipops yesterday for my piano students and just finished bagging them this morning. This was the one project that actually took less time than I planned! LOL. I almost NEVER have that happen. :)
